Attention should be paid to the calibration and calibration of the flow when the metering pump is used for the first time. The metering pump has passed the performance test of clean water at normal temperature when leaving the factory, and the test results and flow calibration curve are listed in the certificate. After the first 12 hours of operation, the user shall test and calibrate the pump to obtain the accuracy of the pump flow rate under the specific operating conditions.

Preparation and inspection before startup

1. Check to confirm that the pump is firmly installed with the base, whether the pipeline is installed correctly, and whether the outlet pipeline is open. If there is no lubricating oil in the pump body, enough lubricating oil should be added to the pump body. The filling amount of the JXM-A pump is 650ml, the filling amount of the JZM-A pump is about 3.2 liters, and the pump body is filled with the oil type of mesine gear oil Mobilgear600xp220.

2. Before the pump is powered on, the flow adjustment handwheel is at zero scale. Before the flow adjustment handwheel is increased from zero scale, check the suction line and discharge line to ensure that all shut-off valves are open.

3.Start the metering pump and check the steering direction of the motor. The steering direction must be consistent with the arrow on the motor mounting flange (clockwise rotation viewed from the fan blade side of the motor). If the steering is not correct, the wiring should be changed.

04 It is strongly recommended that the pump should be stopped when the temperature is lower than -10°C.

Pump startup and manual flow regulation

Once the above required checks have been completed, the metering pump can be started. Watch and listen to the metering pump. Loosen the stroke locking bolt located on the pump adjustment seat to adjust the pump flow rate. Adjust the thousand-point scale stroke adjustment knob to change the pump flow rate. The JXM-A pump increases the flow rate clockwise and decreases the flow rate counterclockwise. JZM-A-type pumps reduce flow in a clockwise direction and increase flow in a counterclockwise direction. The entire stroke adjustment range is marked with a percentage. The minimum interval on the handwheel is 1%. After adjusting the knob to the required flow rate, tighten the stroke locking bolt by hand to maintain the set flow rate.

Pump delivery system perfusion

The exhaust of the pump suction line and discharge line is a very important step. For this reason, the pump is operated without any discharge pressure before the pressure test, so that the delivery system is completely filled with liquid. The 1 simple way to ensure perfusion is to install a three-way and shut-off valve at the outlet connection end of the pump. If the pump is not operated for a long time, the liquid temperature change can produce gas in the system. In order to exhaust air, a valve should be installed on the outlet line to exhaust gas through the process material when the pump is started.

Calibration of flow

After the first 12 hours of operation, the pump should be calibrated to find the exact flow rate under the specified operating conditions. Setting the flow rate of the pump at only 100, 50 and 10 percent flow is usually sufficient to indicate the performance of the pump over the entire adjustment range.

By measuring the change of the liquid level of a calibration container, the flow rate of the pump can be calculated. This method is recommended for the calibration of hazardous liquids. At the outlet of the pump to collect and measure the output of the liquid, the same can be used to calibrate the flow of the pump, but it is necessary to establish the liquid head at the discharge point of the liquid, so that the pump can work accurately.

It is generally not recommended to use this method to calibrate the flow rate, because it makes the operator directly face the dangerous liquid, which may lead to accidents. In addition, when the flow measured by this method, it is likely that the pump is in self-flow, so that the measured data will be larger than normal and the flow regulation will have little effect on the actual flow. For safety reasons, a one-way check valve is used at the filling point of the outlet pipeline near the high-pressure process container.
